What this role involves

About Telnyx

Telnyx is an industry leader that’s not just imagining the future of global connectivity—we’re building it. From architecting and amplifying the reach of a private, global, multi-cloud IP network , to bringing hyperlocal edge technology right to your fingertips through intuitive APIs, we’re shaping a new era of seamless interconnection between people, devices, and applications.

We’re driven by a desire to transform and modernize what’s antiquated, automate the manual, and solve real-world problems through innovative connectivity solutions. As a testament to our success, we’re proud to stand as a financially stable and profitable company. Our robust profitability allows us not only to invest in pioneering technologies but also to foster an environment of continuous learning and growth for our team.

Our collective vision is a world where borderless connectivity fuels limitless innovation. By joining us, you can be part of laying the foundations for this interconnected future. We’re currently seeking passionate individuals who are excited about the opportunity to contribute to an industry-shaping company while growing their own skills and careers.

The Role

As we continue to expand across the Asia-Pacific region, we’re seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Director to lead our APAC sales organization. You’ll take the foundation we’ve built in ANZ and scale it into Singapore and broader APAC—building an outbound-first culture in a region where inbound doesn’t exist, coaching early-stage AEs into quota-carrying killers, and navigating the most diverse sales territory on the planet.

This is a player-coach role. You’ll be as comfortable rolling up your sleeves in deals as you are leading a team toward aggressive growth goals. You’ll own the full P&L of the region—bookings, pipeline coverage, team productivity, and ramp—and serve as Telnyx’s evangelist across APAC markets.

This is a build, not a manage. Expect to be hands-on for the first 12 months.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Development

  • Inherit, assess, and develop a team of 4 AEs and 4 BDRs based in Sydney, scaling to 8 AEs by 2027
  • Run regular deal clinics, call reviews, and role-plays—coach from the call recording, not the dashboard
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and execution
  • Hire, onboard, and mentor AEs and BDRs in the APAC market; build a pipeline of candidates before reqs open

Outbound Pipeline Engine

  • Build a prospecting engine that generates predictable pipeline across ANZ, Singapore, Japan, and broader APAC
  • Structure BDR→AE handoffs with measurable conversion targets (60%+ SQO-to-Stage-1)
  • Achieve and maintain 3x+ pipeline coverage—not by inflating pipeline, but by building it
  • Develop market-specific prospecting playbooks (ANZ, Singapore, Japan, Southeast Asia)

Multi-Country APAC Strategy

  • Segment APAC into Tier 1 (ANZ, Singapore—active selling), Tier 2 (Japan, Hong Kong—relationship building), and Tier 3 (India, Southeast Asia—future investment)
  • Navigate distinct buying cultures: direct ANZ, relationship-first Japan, price-sensitive Southeast Asia, volume-driven India
  • Understand competitive landscapes per market (Twilio in ANZ/Singapore, NTT/KDDI in Japan, Singtel in Singapore, Tata in India) and adjust the pitch accordingly

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Own and execute strategies to acquire new logos across mid-market and enterprise segments
  • Equip the team to sell across Telnyx’s full product ecosystem—voice, messaging, networking, storage, and AI-powered communications
  • Champion Telnyx’s AI-powered offerings (Voice AI, real-time transcription, LLM inference) as part of comprehensive deals
  • Build and leverage partner/channel relationships in markets where partners are the primary route to market (Japan, Southeast Asia)

Forecasting & Revenue Discipline

  • Deliver accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting via Salesforce, with strong focus on opportunity hygiene and conversion metrics
  • Enforce MEDDPICC discipline—inspect evidence at each stage, not just check the box
  • Maintain forecast accuracy within 10–15% across consecutive quarters
  • Run a weekly pipeline review that’s 30 minutes, not 2 hours

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, and BDR teams to create an integrated revenue engine
  • Advocate for APAC resources, product investment, and market-specific needs with HQ
  • Push back on HQ priorities when APAC reality demands it, in a way that builds trust

Field Evangelism & Market Presence

  • Act as a Telnyx evangelist across APAC—at regional conferences, industry events, customer sessions, and partner ecosystems
  • Build inbound gravity through presence: keynotes, partner co-marketing webinars, customer advisory dinners
  • Run internal enablement sessions ensuring every AE can sell across the full product portfolio with equal fluency

Rapid Domain Mastery

  • Get on top of Telnyx’s product portfolio and market constraints fast—understand SIP trunking, TeXML vs. Call Control, USD pricing implications, and what Telnyx can and can’t do in each APAC market
  • Layer in process during natural cadences, not as a multi-week reorg that pulls reps off the phones
  • Build revenue strategy around reality, not assumptions from a previous company

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 8+ years in B2B technology sales, with 4+ years in a team leadership role
  • Has managed a team of 4+ quota-carrying AEs (not just BDRs/SDRs)
  • Multi-country APAC experience—has sold or led teams across at least 3 APAC markets with distinct buying cultures
  • Currently based in Sydney, or willing to relocate (this is an in-office role 3–4 days/week with the team—not remote, not Singapore-based)
  • Has built an outbound pipeline engine from scratch—didn’t inherit a brand that generates inbound
  • Has implemented and enforced a structured qualification framework (MEDDPICC, MEDDIC, or similar) across a team
  • Forecast accuracy within 15% for multiple consecutive quarters
  • Has hired 5+ AEs/BDRs in the APAC market and can discuss the local talent landscape
  • Has operated lean—led teams through real constraints (thin SE coverage, time zone isolation from HQ, limited budget) and found creative solutions instead of using them as excuses
  • Professional fluency in English

Preferred:

  • Experience selling CPaaS, UCaaS, telecom, cloud infrastructure, or developer-platform products
  • Has scaled a sales team from <6 to 8+ reps and knows what breaks when you double a team
  • Partner/channel experience in APAC markets
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Slack, Openclaw, Hermes Agent
  • Experience with AI-powered communications technologies (Voice AI, real-time transcription, LLM inference)

What We’re Not Looking For

  • A strategy-only leader who doesn’t coach deals—this team needs hands-on coaching, not another deck
  • Someone who’s only succeeded in one APAC country—APAC is too diverse for single-market experience
  • A big-company leader who needs a full bench (marketing team, SE team, RevOps, enablement)—Telnyx APAC is lean
  • Someone who treats “APAC is different” as an excuse—it is different, but great leaders adapt and execute, not hide behind it
  • A first-time manager learning on the job—the team needs an experienced coach now
  • A leader who can’t operate without frequent HQ access—APAC requires independent decision-making
  • The process-first director who spends weeks writing playbooks while the team stops closing deals—process should enable selling, not pause it

  • Building your network and maintaining relationships with clients and other industry leaders within your domain
  • Coaching client engineering teams, transferring knowledge and leveling up practices
  • Influencing client CTOs and executive decisions. Planning and execute technical work that involves stakeholders outside of project boundaries such as across a client’s technical organization
  • Partner with account teams on planning, opportunity identification, stakeholder relationships, and pre-sales scope shaping
  • Facilitating retrospectives, strategy sessions, and technical deep-dives to improve team and project outcomes
  • Identifying, mitigating, and resolving blockers to team progress
  • Contributing to 8th Light by serving as a mentor, leading or designing workshops internally or for clients, representing 8th Light in the tech community, or supporting our hiring processes
  • Demonstrating leadership in scalable system design, modular architecture, and platform- or product-oriented development
  • Bringing depth in testing strategies, observability, fault tolerance, and secure engineering practices
  • Applying architectural patterns to evaluate tradeoffs and drive clear, documented design rationale

We work across many areas, and encourage anyone with the experience listed above to apply. We would particularly like to encourage applicants with experience in the following areas:

  • Platform engineering: building reusable software foundations, internal developer platforms, and infrastructure that other teams build on

Engineer Lead Forward Deployed Engineer at MongoDB

Lead technical strategy and organizational direction for a deployed engineer function while mentoring senior engineers and serving as primary escalation for high-stakes customer and internal technical challenges.

Lead Hybrid Posted 4 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Lead Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) are the most senior technical leaders in the FDE organization. They own the overall technical strategy for the FDE domain, not just individual engagements, and are accountable for how the entire function operates, scales, and improves over time. They set direction across multiple concurrent engagements, teams, and quarters, and are the technical voice the organization relies on when stakes, ambiguity, or cross-functional complexity are highest. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth, organizational strategy, and people leadership, setting the technical bar for the function, shaping how Product and Engineering prioritize based on field reality, and developing the next generation of Staff-level FDEs.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City for our hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

  • Own the FDE organization’s overall engagement strategy, serving as the primary technical escalation point across the portfolio for the highest-risk, highest-visibility, and most ambiguous situations
  • Act as the trusted technical counterpart to customer executives and internal VP/executive stakeholders on strategic bets, major risks, and cross-portfolio tradeoffs
  • Set the technical architecture standards and design principles that govern how the FDE domain builds customer-facing solutions and platform capabilities, turning organization-level ambiguity into coherent multi-quarter technical strategy
  • Stay hands-on where it matters most, writing and reviewing code and personally unblocking the hardest technical failures to keep the organization’s technical bar grounded in reality
  • Own the translation of field-wide patterns into the FDE domain’s long-term technical vision, representing that vision to Product and Engineering executive leadership and defending multi-quarter roadmap tradeoffs
  • Own the technical growth and career development of FDEs through mentorship, coaching, and calibration of the org’s technical bar, and play a lead role in hiring and leveling decisions
  • Serve as the final point of technical judgment when the team is deadlocked, and represent the FDE function in executive and cross-org planning forums

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including a demonstrated track record of hands-on technical leadership in production systems and complex enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated success setting technical strategy and direction at an organizational level, shaping how an entire function operates rather than leading initiatives within a single team
  • Proven experience designing and directing production-grade integrations, platforms, or distributed systems across multiple concurrent engagements or teams
  • Excellent technical judgment under high ambiguity, with a track record of making and being accountable for organization-level tradeoffs between customer impact, speed, maintainability, and risk
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align VP/executive-level stakeholders, internally and at customer organizations, on strategic technical direction
  • Track record of developing senior and staff-level engineers through mentorship, coaching, and technical calibration, with willingness to travel up to 30% for executive engagements and technical reviews
  • Preferred: experience setting technical strategy for LLM, agent framework, retrieval, evaluation, or production AI systems at an organizational level, prior experience as a Staff-level FDE, and experience contributing to hiring bar-raising or leveling frameworks at organizational scale

Engineer Lead Forward Deployed Engineer at MongoDB

Senior technical leader sets engineering strategy, mentors staff-level engineers, and handles highest-complexity customer escalations across the deployed engineering organization.

Support Director, Customer Success Operations at Tekmetric

Director leads customer success operations strategy, team management, and processes to drive retention and satisfaction for auto repair shop clients.

Lead Hybrid Posted 6 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Tekmetric

Tekmetric is the all-in-one, cloud-based software helping auto repair shops run smarter, grow faster, and serve customers better.

Built by a shop owner and shaped by the needs of the industry, Tekmetric brings together innovation, real-world experience, and a thriving community to help shops thrive - not just survive. From running a shop, to securing payments to engaging customers, our platform simplifies operations so shop owners can focus on what really matters: delivering exceptional service, earning trust, and growing sustainably.

Officially founded in Houston in 2017, Tekmetric has grown from a single shop’s vision to the industry’s leading solution - all by staying true to our values of transparency, integrity, innovation, and a service-first mindset.

But we’re not just building shop management software. We’re building a movement. We’re empowering repair shops to rise above the daily grind, create meaningful connections with their customers, and lead the industry forward - one interaction at a time.

Come build with us. Join the journey. Shape the future of auto repair.

Working the Tekmetric Way

At Tekmetric, we’re building a culture where winning matters - not for ego, but because when our customers win, we win together.

We move fast, stay curious, and take full ownership of our results — no excuses, no finger-pointing. If you thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and view honest feedback as fuel for growth, you’ll feel right at home here.

We’re direct but respectful, ambitious yet grounded, and collaborative at every level. Everyone leads through impact and is encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and challenge assumptions (even your manager’s). This is a place for builders, not bystanders.

Success here takes focus, follow-through, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves — but if you’re driven by meaningful work and real results, it’s deeply rewarding. You’ll join a team that cares about the work, supports one another, and takes smart risks to achieve bold goals. Be yourself, stay mission-focused, and you’ll thrive. If that energizes you, we can’t wait to meet you.

At Tekmetric, great work happens anywhere, but great teams are built through intentional connection. We offer hybrid and remote work models based on your proximity to our office hubs. Because we value in-person collaboration, travel is an expected part of every role. We come together several times a year for team and company-wide offsites to align on goals and strengthen relationships. Attendance at these events is expected and fully supported.

About the Role

Tekmetric is building the operating system for the modern auto repair shop - and the Onboarding & Professional Services team is how we make that real for every new customer. As Director, Customer Success Operations, you’ll be the operational engine behind a ~70-person team and the systems they use every day.

This is a builder role. In the near term, you’ll own the work directly - running analytics, standing up enablement programs, and designing processes hands-on. Over time, you’ll hire and develop the team around you, starting with an Enablement Manager and a Data Analyst. You’ll report directly to the VP of Onboarding & Professional Services and sit at the intersection of data, tooling, and team performance.

If you love turning messy operational questions into clear answers, and you get energy from building the infrastructure that makes customer-facing teams great, this role is for you.

What You’ll Own

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead a CS Operations team over time, starting with two planned hires: an Enablement Manager and a Data Analyst - roles you’ll own directly before hiring into them
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top operational talent as the team scales
  • Model a culture of clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement

Analytics & Insights

  • Own the metrics and reporting layer for the onboarding org - kickoff completion rate, rebook rate, time-to-live, graduation rate, CSAT, and early-churn indicators
  • Identify friction points and opportunities through product usage data, Vitally data, and Salesforce reporting
  • Surface actionable insights to the VP and team managers on a regular cadence - not just dashboards, but recommendations

Enablement

  • Design and run the internal training program for COMs and managers before transitioning ownership to a dedicated Enablement Manager hire
  • Ensure the team stays current on product releases, system changes (Vitally, Salesforce, Gong), and process updates
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Support, Training) to translate external changes into internal readiness

Process & Systems

  • Own the operational design of the onboarding workflow - from AE-to-COM handoff through the hypercare-to-CS graduation handoff
  • Drive adoption and optimization of the CS tech stack, primarily Vitally, Salesforce, and Gong
  • Identify and eliminate manual processes; build playbooks, automations, and SOPs that scale
  • Partner with internal ops stakeholders on data infrastructure, billing integrations, and tooling decisions

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as an operational partner to the Customer Success (CSM) team - sharing data, insights, playbooks, and process frameworks that support the full post-sale customer journey
  • Help ensure continuity between the onboarding handoff and the CS team’s retention motion, surfacing patterns that affect both sides of the customer lifecycle
  • Collaborate with CS leadership on shared tooling, reporting, and enablement needs where applicable

Strategic Support

  • Serve as a thought partner to the VP on OKR development, capacity planning, and org design
  • Help translate business goals into measurable operational programs
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives with Sales, Customer Success, and Product

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years in customer success operations, revenue operations, or a related field - ideally in B2B SaaS
  • 3+ years managing or leading teams
  • Strong analytical chops - you’re comfortable pulling data, building dashboards, and translating numbers into decisions
  • Experience designing or owning internal enablement or training programs
  • A systems thinker who can map a process end-to-end and spot where things break
  • Clear communicator - equally comfortable presenting to the VP and writing a SOP for an individual contributor
  • Comfortable doing the IC work first and building the team around you over time - you don’t need a fully staffed org to be effective

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a vertical SaaS environment or with SMB customers
  • Familiarity with onboarding or professional services motions (not just CS post-onboarding)
  • Experience building or managing a customer success platform
  • AI tooling experience - using AI to enhance analytics, automate workflows, or support coaching

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

Health & Wellness That Have You Covered:

  • Enjoy the flexibility of remote work
  • Competitive base salaries that reflect your value.
  • Generous Paid Time Off, because we know you do your best work when you’re well-rested.
  • Support for every stage of life—with paid maternity, parental bonding, and medical leave for you or your loved ones.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage. For employee only, we offer plans that cover 100% of premiums and we cover 50% of costs for families.
  • Prioritizing your mental health: get free, confidential counseling through our partnership with BetterHelp.
